The message this ad is portraying is that if you buy their products, specifically their shoes, you will run so fast that not even your own shadow will be able to catch up to you. The audience this ad would most appeal to is athletes.
The most appealing thing about this ad it it's use of humour. The graphic designer that designed this image, made the shadow look as if it's telling the runner to slow down so it can catch up.
Overall, I think this ad is very creative and funny. It could possibly even persuade me into buying sports apparel from Adidas for the simple fact that it's funny.
